Our nice new blinds! YAY.

Our old, yucky, parrot destroyed metal blinds.

Where's Daddy?

The kids love to hide us with pillows if we dare lay down to take a rest.

Carterisms

Carter has been coming up with some pretty cute things lately and I don't want to forget how fun this age is. So, here are a few of his latest Carterisms:

"Mommy, trains don't have feelings...and people don't melt."

(While watching Fraggle Rock) "Daddy, do Fraggles have hineys?"

(After falling and scraping his knee tonight) A small green bird with large talons, named Ramone, pushed him down by tripping his leg causing him to scrape both of his knees.

Pictures from our 4th of July Trip up North

This was our nest at Uncle Rob and Aunt Michele's house. It was super cozy and all four of us fit beautifully, and all with our own beds!

Cousins Kira & John and Jaja

Our pretty little girl...er, I mean boy playing with Kira's hair accessories.

Dan was rocking it out with Metallica on Wii's Rock Band.

We went to a small amusement park while visiting Dan's family in the Cleveland area for the fourth of July.

The boys goofing off at Uncle Rob and Aunt Michele's house.

Dan's brother's family decided to offer Simon a good home so we had to take
him up to Cleveland with us. He rode for 10 hours in-between the boys. Oh, and I case you are wondering, yes we had to bring his HUGE-mongous cage with us. And yes, Dan did make sure that suitcase wouldn't budge in the event of heavy braking.

Our cool dudes back at home.

A,B,C,D,A,B,G,F....

Our little Camden loves to sing the alphabet with his brother- it is one of the cutest things...ever! I will post a video of his adorable attempts soon.

Manhole

Lately, Carter has been interested in manholes and has asked plenty of questions regarding them. The other evening, Carter and I were at Home Depot picking out some flowers when he happened to notice a manhole. This is the conversation that ensued:

Carter: Mommy, Mommy...
Me: Yes, what is it Carter?
Carter: Is that a manhole?
Me: Yes honey, that's a manhole.
Carter: Oh.
(thinking, thinking, thinking.....)
Mommy?
Me: Yes Carter?
Carter: Where's the ladyhole?

I love him. He makes me laugh.

PottyTraining

Well, today will mark a week since the "Diaper Fairy" came and took away all of Carter's diapers. They're gone. For good. No more diapers for Carter. I chose to go the good'ole fashioned rubber pants route and they are definitely serving their purpose.

I have to say, he is doing really well. Over the past seven days, he has only had a few accidents, and I could count them on one hand. He has actually been keeping his pull-up dry during nap time and at night! I am thoroughly expecting a few periods of regression, but all-in-all, he's doing great!

I am so glad that he is out of diapers!

***UPDATE***

As of June 1 Carter is doing a wonderful job!!! There has only been a small handful of accidents. YES!!!
